Topic: Ohio Sea Grant's Lake Erie Shipwreck website selected as GLIN Site of the Month  (Read 146 times)

The Great Lakes Commission's website, Great Lakes Information Network, has selected Ohio Sea Grant's website,  Shipwrecks and Maritime Tales of the Lake Erie Coastal Ohio Trail, www.ohioshipwrecks.org, as the site of the month.
If you have an interest in Lake Erie's maritime heritage and shipwrecks, visit the website.  You may discover a whole new world of interest which is below Lake Erie's surface.
The goal of ohioshipwrecks.org is to increase awareness of the rich maritime history which lies beneath the surface of Ohio's Lake Erie. The mysteries surrounding 'shipwrecks' are always exciting, while the history associated with each shipwreck reveals the role it played in the development of Ohio, the Great Lakes region, and our nation. The featured shipwrecks were selected by an advisory committee of scuba divers, dive clubs, professional dive guides, charter captains and maritime history professionals.
