Upper Level Courses

Get the skills you need for your career as a scientist with Stone Lab's upper-level courses

Stone Lab’s advanced courses for students studying biological sciences, education and natural resources let you get up-close with snakes, spiders, birds, turtles and fish. Collect water samples and evaluate them in our Water Quality Laboratory. Earn anywhere from .5 credits for a 1-day course to 4 credits for a six-week course.

Four-week and six-week courses meet either Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays or Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays. Students who are part of the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Scholarship Program must be enrolled in one of the six-week classes.

At the 5000 and 6000 levels, courses normally require at least 12 semester-credit hours of biological sciences. Prerequisites are listed on the web page for each course and on the downloadable PDF course descriptions.
