Objectives

1) to provide support for immediate need projects or unanticipated opportunities; 2) to provide seed money to start a project or support to develop preliminary results for projects that are high priorities and possess a high potential of expanding into larger projects funded from other sources; 3) to serve as a source of funds to allow Ohio Sea Grant to co-fund projects with other agencies.

Rationale

Many times opportunities for outstanding research, education, communications, or advisory service/extension projects arise in the middle of the funding cycle. These funds will be used to support projects of this type and to provide support to co-fund projects with other funding sources.

Methodology

Investigators will submit applications for review by the Ohio Sea Grant Executive Committee.
