Each main lecture will be preceded by a research brief at 7 p.m., where researchers introduce some of their Lake Erie research. This year, topics include water quality, public health impacts of harmful algal blooms, and aquatic ecology.

Members of the public are invited to see the lecture series live at Stone Lab on Gibraltar Island. A webcast is also accessible online to anyone who can’t travel to Lake Erie.

Information on both viewing options is available at go.osu.edu/guestlectures. Recordings of previous lectures are available on YouTube at youtube.com/user/ohioseagrant.

In place of the weekly lecture on July 20, students in Stone Lab’s Research Experience for Undergraduates Scholarship Program will present their research projects, starting at 6 p.m. Guests can still travel to Gibraltar Island or watch the presentations online, just as they do for the other lectures.
