Stone Lab Scholarships
The scholarship deadlines for 2026 have passed. However, we never want cost to be a deterrent for a student who is interested in attending a Stone Lab course. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are sometimes able to find additional funding for students who may be experiencing a financial hardship. Each year, Stone Lab awards scholarships to students with financial need. Anyone taking a for-credit class (and some workshops) is eligible to apply.
How Can I Apply?

High School, Undergraduate, and graduate students:
- Complete the scholarship application.
- Obtain one completed recommendation forms at this link: go.osu.edu/slscholarshiprec
Individuals completing these forms should be non-relatives who can speak to your academic success and work ethic (examples may include a teacher, guidance counselor, etc.) Recommendation forms should include the author’s business email.
All high school students (whether or not they apply for a scholarship) must submit a completed recommendation form.
Students applying for both a scholarship and the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Fellowship Program need only submit one set of transcripts and recommendations.
Educators:
