Prerequisites

High school students must have completed their sophomore year, be at least 15 years of age, and have completed one course of high school biology or environmental science prior to the beginning of the selected course.

Note: Stone Lab courses are not eligible for College Credit Plus.

Description

An introduction to the components of the ecosystem in freshwater aquatic environments.

This is a one-week introductory, for credit course, taught in-person at Gibraltar Island.

All courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure a spot, but at a minimum of two weeks prior to the course start date is required.

Scholarships are available

Each year, Stone Lab awards scholarships to students and educators with financial need and superior academic records. Anyone taking a for-credit class (and some workshops) is eligible to apply.
