An Video Introduction to Stone Lab’s Virtual Field Trips

Stone Lab Virtual Field Trips were designed for a few different situations: to generate excitement and prepare students for a Stone Lab field trip experience, as supplemental experiences or assessments after an in-person field trip, or on their own to give students a digital field trip experience.

Virtual Field Trip modules are available for $50 each, and include everything needed for a successful lesson, from student worksheets to digital materials like videos and slide shows. Teachers who complete the module will receive a certificate for five professional development contact hours.

Each module also offers students the chance to meet working Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Lab scientists during a Chat With A Biologist session. Teachers can rely on support from Stone Lab education specialists to make each virtual field trip successful.
