Columbus, OH Join the Friends of Stone Laboratory and the Ohio Sea Grant College Program at their 7th Annual Winter Program and Silent Auction 7 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Ohio State University’s Fawcett Center. The feature presentation will be "The History of Stone Laboratory’s Cooke Castle and Gibraltar Island" by Ohio State University’s John Kleberg. Other speakers include Ohio Representative Robert Latta; Ohio Representative Chris Redfern; Shirley Bowser, Former Chair of OSU Board of Trustees; Dr. Rosanne Fortner, Professor Ohio State University; John Meyer, Associate Vice President of University Development; Charlene Prochazda, FOSL President; and Dr. Jeffrey Reutter; Director of Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Laboratory.

In addition, a silent auction will be held beginning at 7 p.m. to benefit the Friends of Stone Laboratory, a non-profit group that supports Stone Lab programs and scholarships. Auction items include certificates for fine dinning, vacation getaways, along with unique times such as framed signed prints and vintage lab equipment.
