Stone Laboratory, The Ohio State University’s island campus on Lake Erie, is now accepting applications for its summer 2007 classes, which are listed online at stonelab.osu.edu/courses. Priority will be given to applications received by March 22, 2007.
Students can choose from over 30 science courses, offered in one or five week sessions. Two new courses, Spider Biology and Aquatic Entomology, will be offered this year. Stone Lab’s classes are open to college students, teachers and high school students for college credit. Non-credit workshops are also available.
Scholarships and part-time jobs are available. The deadline for scholarship and job applications is March 12, 2007. For more information, visit stonelab.osu.edu/courses/aid.
Stone Laboratory is part of NOAA-National Sea Grant, a network of 30 Sea Grant programs dedicated to the protection and sustainable use of marine and Great Lakes resources.
