The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife’s Distinguished Service in Conservation Award has been presented to Fred Snyder, Ohio Sea Grant Extension Specialist and Program Co-Leader.
"Fred has a lot of passion for Lake Erie and has put forth a lot effort over the years to teach people about the great fishing in Lake Erie," stated Steve Gray, Division of Wildlife Chief, who presented the award at the 2007 Charter Captains Conference.
Snyder, who has been an outstanding ambassador for sport fishing in Lake Erie, has organized and conducted an annual conference for over 25 years to help Lake Erie fishing guides stay up-to-date on new information.
