Stone Lab Now Accepting Applications for Summer 2008

Stone Laboratory, The Ohio State University’s Island Campus on Lake Erie, is now accepting applications for its summer 2008 classes. Courses are open to educators, college, and high school students. For a complete course listing, go to stonelab.osu.edu/courses .

Applications are due March 11, 2008 for college students and educators, and March 21, 2008 for high school students. All application forms can be downloaded at stonelab.osu.edu/courses/download .

Students can choose from more than 30 science courses, offered in one or five week sessions. Four new courses; Bird Census Techniques, Introductory Ethology, Communicating Environmental Information, and Ecology and Management of Wetland Birds will be offered this year.

Scholarships and part-time jobs are available. The deadline for scholarship and job applications is March 11, 2008. For more information, visit stonelab.osu.edu/courses/aid.
