Deadline: Shipboard Science Workshop for Educators

February 28, 2020 – Experience a once-in-a-lifetime professional development opportunity as you travel across Lake Michigan

The Center for Great Lakes Literacy and the Great Lakes Sea Grant Network invite teachers working with 5th-12th grade students in the Great Lakes Basin and informal educators with a Great Lakes focus to apply for a spot on this unique, expenses-paid, educators’ cruise.

Join us for a week-long professional learning opportunity, working side-by-side with scientists on the 180-foot research vessel R/V Lake Guardian. Participants board the ship in Milkwaukee, WI on July 6 and return to port on July 12.

Detailed information is available online at the CGLL website.

Lake Guardian

The Lake Guardian is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency research vessel operated by the Chicago-based U.S. EPA Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO).
