Data from some of Stone Lab's research projects and outreach initiatives is available online

Many of Stone Lab’s current research projects are closely tied to monitoring the health of the Lake Erie environment. This includes water quality data, atmospheric mercury concentrations and of course the output of Stone Lab’s solar panels on Gibraltar Island.

Water Quality Lab

To tackle nutrient loading and harmful algal blooms with constant water quality monitoring and testing equipment.

Mercury Monitoring Station

Part of Ohio EPA’s mercury monitoring project collects information on atmospheric mercury concentrations.

Stone Lab Solar Array

Solar electric panels provide for 10-25% of Stone Lab’s electricity needs, and solar thermal tubes heat all the water needed for the dining hall.
